Hopes, Dreams, and Prayers

Why We Pray

Prayer is a vital part of our spiritual journey. We pray to connect with the God, to express our gratitude, and to seek guidance and blessings in our lives.

Through prayer, we deepen our faith and strengthen our relationship with God, relying on wisdom and love to navigate life’s challenges.

Section Option 1

"Thank you, Lord, for the blessings you have bestowed on my life."

Thank you, Lord, for the blessings you have bestowed on my life. You have provided me with more than I could ever have imagined. You have surrounded me with people who always look out for me.

“Father, thank you for infusing me with your love, so others may know your love.”
-John 13:34-35

Some of our Hopes.....

Embracing Hope Together

At our St. John’s, we believe that hope is not just a feeling; it’s a bold choice we make every day. In a world that often feels uncertain, we invite you to join us in cultivating a spirit of hopefulness that uplifts and inspires. Together, we can create a community where hope flourishes—where we support one another, share our stories, and lean into the promise of brighter days ahead.

Being full of hope is an act of courage; it empowers us to face challenges with resilience and grace. As we gather in worship, fellowship, and service, let us be the light that shines in the darkness, reminding ourselves and others that hope is always within reach. Join us in this journey, and discover how, together, we can boldly live out our faith and spread hope in our community and beyond.

We Hope: to leave a Legacy of Compassion and Love....♥️

“The legacy of the church” refers to the enduring impact a church has on its community, encompassing its teachings, values, social influence, and the lives it has transformed over time.

This legacy leaves a lasting impression on future generations, even as the current congregation evolves or diminishes. It reflects the positive contributions and influence a church has made in society through its ministry and outreach efforts.

We hope to create:

A Spiritual impact: We hope that, through our way of life, we are able to inspire many lives in a positive way.

Community engagement: We strive to play a role in engaging with our community in a way that positively addresses social issues and supports local needs.

Historical significance:
We love that our church continues to play a significant role in our communities history and culture.

Philanthropy and charitable giving:
As a church community, we pull together in a our philanthropy and charitable giving.  We know that -together- we can make huge differences.

In concert with the Episcopal Diacese of New York, we hope for "Renewal of the Church for the Healing of the World"

“Renewal of the Church for the Healing of the World” speaks to a sacred calling within Christianity, where the church is beckoned to step into the world’s suffering, bringing forth healing through the profound power of faith.

It is a call to embody Christ’s love and compassion, addressing the cries of those in pain and serving those in need. In this role, the church becomes a beacon of hope and restoration in a fractured world.

This renewal signifies a spiritual revitalization, urging the church to awaken its spirit anew, so it may more deeply serve society’s needs and foster healing on all levels—physical, emotional, and spiritual.

We will create Hope through:

Community Outreach:
Churches can launch initiatives that respond to local needs, such as food banks, shelters, and educational programs.

Advocacy for Equity: Taking a stand against injustice and championing policies that create equity and foster community belonging.

Building Relationships with the Community: Connecting with individuals beyond the church walls to truly understand their needs and concerns.

Spiritual Formation: Cultivating personal faith through prayer, scripture study, and reflection, empowering us to serve others more effectively.

What are we dreaming about? Someday. Someday.....with Hope.

Community Gardens....

We are dreaming of a community garden or maybe a greenhouse.  We know that connecting with the Gods creation, the Earth- the soil, the water… the mechanisms of growth can feed the body and the soul.

“I have found, after a good deal of consideration, that the best place to seek God is in a garden.  You can dig for Him here.”               -George Bernard Shaw

A "Blessing Box"....

A church food pantry serves as a vital resource for community members in need. Whether someone is facing a temporary challenge, such as job loss, or has a more ongoing struggle, the pantry offers essential support and nourishment.
